Drive shaft and reinforcement components

  • The drive shaft is made of 40Cr quenched and tempered material, with an additional reinforced support flange of the same material (bearings used are from Japan NSK), ensuring that the output shaft will not break. Mechanical properties (quenched and tempered state: quenching and high-temperature tempering, hardness 220-250HB)
  • – Tensile strength (σb): ≥980 MPa (maximum tensile force the material can withstand before breaking)
  • – Yield strength (σs): ≥785 MPa (stress at which plastic deformation begins)
  • – Elongation (δ5): ≥9% (percentage increase in length after fracture, reflecting toughness)
  • – Reduction of area (ψ): ≥45% (percentage decrease in cross-sectional area after fracture)
  • – Impact energy (Akv): ≥47 J (ability to resist impact load)
  • -After machining, we perform a bluing process (the oxidizer reacts with surface elements to form a layer of Fe₃O₄, preventing the structural components from rusting).
